No i mamy atak na kontrkulturę w czystej postaci! Nikt nie zostawia
tu suchej nitki na hipisach i ich epoce. Czyż może dziwić kogokolwiek
fakt, ze lata 60. wraz z ich fascynacjami skończyły się niedługo po
ukazaniu się na rynku tego albumu?
Począwszy od parodii okładki albumu The Beatles po ukrytą w
tekstach "Flower Punk" i "Who Needs The Peace Corps" ironię, płyta w
pełni zasługuje na przyznane jej przez "Rolling Stone" miano
"największego jajka, które cisnął na scenę rockową jeden z jej
członków". Finałowy "The Chrome Plated Megaphone of Destiny" pozostaje
jednym z najbardziej śmiałych utworów w całej karierze Zappy.
Kiedy album po raz pierwszy ukazał się na CD w 1986 r. Zappa
zdecydował się na dość kontrowersyjne rozwiązanie. Uzupełnił utwory
nowymi, zarejestrowanymi cyfrowo partiami basu i perkusji. Fani nie byli
tym jednak zachwyceni. Na tym albumie macie okazję posłuchać wszystkich
utworów w oryginalnej wersji.
